Art of Indigo Dyeing Workshop
- Ages: Ages 16+
- Duration: 2.5 Hours 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
- Class Size: Limited to 10 students - Minimum class size is 4; if minimum is not met, then class will be rescheduled
• Used for the distinctive blue British uniform, indigo was South Carolina’s first cash crop
• All-natural indigo dyeing basics are covered as you create your own special items to take home.
• Various wrapping & dyeing techniques will be demonstrated
• Items to be dyed and all other materials necessary to create different designs will be provided
About the Workshop
• Skill Level Beginner & Intermediate
• Classes are weather permitting and may be rescheduled
• Please note this class takes place partially outdoors
• Please wear old clothes and closed-toe shoes
• Bring long latex or rubber gloves if you have them
• Workshop is non-refundable and limited to 10 students
