Privately owned by the Belle W. Baruch Foundation, Hobcaw is a 16,000-acre research reserve that encompasses a rich diversity of every common ecosystem found on the SC coast. In addition, there are more than 70 cultural sites on the plantation including cemeteries, slave cabins, and the Baruch's homes that all provide a time capsule for educators. Stop by to learn more about the unique history and ecology. Admission to the Discovery Center Museum and Gift Shop is free, but donations are appreciated.
