About Us

Providing Hospice Care to Georgetown, Horry, & Williamsburg Counties

For 39 years, families have called upon hospice agencies like Tidelands Community Hospice to care for loved ones with life-limiting illnesses. Such families understandably seek caregivers who focus on the quality of life, not the inevitability of death. After all, life is a transcendent journey & every stage of that journey, including its end, is precious.

Tidelands Community Hospice is dedicated to preserving dignity & providing expert care with genuine respect & compassion. Warm, meaningful relationships with patients and their families are a priority. And we are guided specifically by the personal wishes of the family, not the rules or conventions of others.

Registered nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement experts, and a medical director form a team that is strengthened by dozens of carefully trained volunteers. This team provides physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care, while honoring each patient’s individual plan of care.

Once a physician has determined hospice care to be appropriate, Tidelands Community Hospice is honored to care for terminally ill patients – regardless of their diagnosis, age, race, nationality, physical capabilities, and/or reimbursement source.

Hospice is a special way of comforting and caring for people with terminal illnesses & supporting the people who love them. Tidelands has remained committed to creating an environment that respectfully safeguards each patient’s right to maintain control of his or her own life
