True stories told by real people.... Entertaining, Thought-Provoking Theater. Enjoy Live music with The Zack Patton Trio and Tom Santopietro as well! The September show proceeds, after costs, benefit Black River United Way's Be Ready! Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Program. Georgetown Tidal Tales Executive Director Janet Fricke became acquainted with the low-country beauty and challenges of Georgetown County through her job in Public Services as an Administrative Assistant to the Director. She retired in 2023 to initiate a storytelling program in Georgetown similar to one she had been involved with in Baltimore, Maryland. Janet holds a BA in English from Rutgers University and a MA in Nonfiction Writing from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, Janet has assembled a Georgetown Tidal Tales team of leaders who share her vision for a more cohesive Georgetown community. She has initiated the nonprofit, “One Voice Georgetown County” and hopes to secure a grant to fund the venue as well as all administrative costs associated with the start-up of Georgetown Tidal Tales, the nonprofit’s flagship program. Tidal Tales aims to be fiscally self-sufficient, with any profits donated to accredited Georgetown nonprofits. All Georgetown Tidal Tales team members are 100% volunteers.Georgetown Tidal Tales Storytellers... "First on the Scene"
