Description

Limited to 15 participants. Guided by Maureen Mulligan, local botanist, you can join us for a fall wildflowers and birding hike focusing on those plants that are attracting fall insects as well as the birds who are flying through. Participants will hike a portion of the preserve and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer.  Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by foot.

This 3 hour event will cover about 3 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails, but going off trail into the woods is an option so wear good shoes.  Bring your own water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.
